About Us

Mary B. James started the MOMS Club_® in the fall of 1983.  The first local chapter was in Simi Valley, California.  Word spread about the wonderful support offered to to stay-at-home mothers and, in 1985, MOMS Club became a national organization! By 1996, MOMS Club had gone global becoming the International MOMS Club_®!  We now have over 2,000 local chapters and over 100,000 plus members in the in the United States alone!  New chapters are started every month-both in the United States and around the world!

MOMS Club believes that each local group must have the flexibility to meet the needs of the mothers in their area.  However, every group must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. All groups must use the bylaws provided by the International MOMS Club corporation.
2. All groups must have open membership (open to any mother in the area regardless of race, religion, age or financial ability).
3. All groups must register annually with the International MOMS Club and provide any reports or communications required by the International MOMS Club.
4. All local MOMS Clubs must meet during the day when at-home mothers need the most support and must allow mothers to bring their children with them to any MOMS Club meeting or activity.
