Activities

Both chapters of the MOMS Club of Allen-South, TX offer many opportunities for at-home mothers to meet other mothers.  One Friday each month both chapters hold their Monthly Membership Meeting at 10:00 am.  (Please send an email to AllenMOMS_SE@hotmail.com for more information on the South East chapter or to allenmomssc@hotmail.com for the South Central chapter.)   Children are always welcome at all MOMS Club activities! 

In addition to the monthly meetings, both chapters offer:

Weekly activities: which are usually free or of low cost.  Examples include park days, tours of Firehouses, field trips and other local interest activities.

Playgroups: Consisting of approximately 4-6 moms and their children, playgroups are the best way to meet other mothers with children of the same age (See Playgroup Policies for additional information).

Craft Activities

MOMS Night Out:  Once a month, the members enjoy a night out on the town.  Evenings out include dinner, movie nights, and game nights.

Monthly Newsletters: Newsletters are provided to every member, full of chapter news, local activities and upcoming event information.

Helping Hands:   Helping Hands is a service to any MOMS Club member in need, be it illness, pregnancy or family emergency. Chapter members will provide meals, babysitting or other support as needed.

Service Projects:  Each MOMS Club chapter must complete at least one service project a year which benefits children.  In the past, service projects have included such activities as Adopting a Child during the holidays, collecting coupons to send to the military, food drives, cookbook fundraisers, car seat safety checks and art projects for Meals on Wheels.
